About Me

When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a scientist. I think I was attracted to the idea of the creativity and the freedom to make new things. That was when I wasn't fantasizing about being an outfielder for the NY Mets, of course. After I graduated high school, I went to college for a bit, but just couldn't find the right fit for what I wanted to do. The career that felt...right. So, into the Air Force I went, and a career in IT is what I found. But after 25 years in the industry (and being downsized while my job was sent to India three different times), I have finally taken the step I probably should have taken a couple decades ago: becoming a professional photographer.

I've been a hobbyist in photography for 20 years or more, and I love it. When my daughter came along, I started getting into the hobby more seriously, and that's when I really found my passion for it. Whether it's taking something ordinary and showing it in a new and interesting way, or helping a client show the beauty that was already there within them, I just love the creativity and freedom that photography grants me.

I have studied with the NY Institute of Photography as well as taking classes through various other industry experts. Just like in my previous work either in the military or in the IT world, I want to learn everything I can about the business to better help clients and provide them the best possible service I can. I don't just want to be a guy with a camera. I want to work with my clients to provide both the best product and the best service available!
